The Mobile Content Management tool is People Inc.'s first CMS specifically made to create Instagram- or TikTok-like story posts. This tool powers People Magazine's brand-new People App.
Launched in April 2025, The People is was the first App that People Inc. ever built. Additionally, it was an interactive, highly visual, social media story content app - unlike the prior web / mobile web traditional article style that the company published. People Inc. needed to build a brand new tool that allowed editorial and photography users to create and publish these stories quickly and easily, so that many new stories can be seen by users daily.

The new mobile content design tool (shown here) provides a quick and intuitive way for editorial users to create and publish visually engaging content for the new People App. Users can quickly add, build, modify, scroll through, and review frames in a story.
The design tool has several pre-set styles for stories and frames. These styles can be modified in pre-determined ways. This creates variety among stories (to keep it fresh), while maintaining consistency and visual quality (to keep it good). Users can select these styles and modifications in the right-hand frame settings bar.
